Kingfishers dominate Loughborough 2nds

Cambridge won 23-2

The Kingfishers continued their promising start to the season with a massive 23-2 victory against Loughborough. Our team showed an impressive defence despite the goalie being new to the game. Strong defensive movement combined with great body marking gave them very few shots on goal. There was some dynamic attacking with some creative goals secured by Ellie Jeffreys and Georgie Prichard, against a team we've previously been equally matched to. A brilliant team spirit kept the focus into the second half where our defence faced the sun and Loughborough came back with a vengeance. A continuous stream of rolling subs made a cohesive energetic midfield providing a smooth link between attack and defence.
